Iron Mile helps owner-operators and small fleets track loads, fuel, expenses, documents, miles, and weekly NET. We collect only the information needed to provide the service, support accounts, process subscriptions, and keep records available to you.
Information We Collect
You may provide account details such as name, email, company name, DOT or MC numbers, vehicle details, load records, fuel stops, expenses, notes, document references, and support messages. If you subscribe, billing is handled by Stripe on web or by the App Store on iOS.
Iron Mile may store identifiers needed to operate accounts and subscriptions, including account IDs, mobile API token hashes, App Store transaction IDs, Stripe customer or subscription IDs for web billing, vehicle or unit identifiers, and trailer numbers if you enter them.
If you choose to use location-assisted entries, the app may use your device location to help record fuel stops or trip details. Location is optional and is not required to use the core tracking features.
Iron Mile may collect diagnostics such as crash, performance, or error information when enabled by our deployed platform or service providers. Diagnostics are used for reliability and support, not for advertising tracking.
How We Use Information
We use information to run the app, calculate weekly financial summaries, support exports, verify subscriptions, troubleshoot problems, protect accounts, and respond to support requests.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product usage and improve app reliability, calculations, and support workflows.
Payments
Iron Mile does not store full payment card numbers. Web payments are processed by Stripe. iOS subscriptions are purchased and managed through the App Store. We store subscription identifiers and status so the app can unlock paid access.
Documents and Exports
Iron Mile may store document metadata, receipt references, uploaded file records, and export activity so you can organize trucking records. Do not upload information you do not have permission to store or share.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers that help operate Iron Mile, including hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, customer support, and payment providers.
Iron Mile does not use personal data to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising, and the current iOS app is not built around advertising SDKs or third-party ad measurement.
Data Retention
We keep account and trucking records while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. You should keep your own backup records for settlements, taxes, filings, and carrier requirements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and service data. No internet service is perfect, so you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for reporting suspicious access.
Your Choices
You can update account information in the app, delete records you entered, export records, delete your Iron Mile account from the Iron Mile Account screen, or contact support for account and data requests. Account deletion removes your Iron Mile account and app records from our active systems, except information we are required to keep for legal, security, billing, or business-record reasons.
Children
Iron Mile is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as Iron Mile changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
